FAQ--Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About The Clorensons!
In MTU, a certain Nintendo 64 video game is mentioned. What game is this and where can I purchase it? Actually, it's a fictitious game. I just made it all up. The reason I chose N64 to write about is because I have it at home so I'm kind of partial to it. (Nintendo IS awesome, you guys, you know it!) So no, this game doesn't exist, and no, you won't find it anywhere.
I've noticed certain characters aren't mentioned as frequently as others. Why is this? Generally, the girls hang out with others around their age. So if I'm writing about Sheena, you probably won't hear too much about Vida or Aleesha. And if I'm writing about Dayton, you'll hear more about Eva and Allegra than Mikayla or Rachel. Naturally, since I'm 13, I like to write about Mikayla, Zela, Rachel, and Clarisa, since they're about the closest to my age. But I'll try to get an even number of stories up featuring each girl.
Why aren't there many stories up? Well, first off, we had technical problems from about April to July. So I couldn't put up MTU Part 3, which I'd say definitely contributed. Had I gotten that up in April there could be around 3 more stories, since I put up about one a month, on average. Also, I am very busy. I am involved with a TON of things (you have no idea!) so I have almost no free time, at least during the school year I have no free time. Hopefully 8th grade will be easier and I can have time to write too.
Why don't the bio pages give their birth years? In a nutshell, because I'm lazy. No, really though, I don't want to have to keep up with their ages. Like, if someone's birthday is in 1986 and the current year is 2003 but I have the character marked as 13, I'd have to go back and change them every month, because the Clorensons' birthdays are scattered throughout the year. Also, by the year 2015, everyone would be moved out, and what fun is that? So Sheena is eternally 17, Mikayla is eternally 12, etc.
A little footnote, added after the above was written, I've decided that possibly in the future, the girls' ages could change. After about 2 years, they may age another year. So no, every year they don't age, just when I feel like it. When I get to be about a junior or senior in high school, it would be fun to write about Sheena's college life. I'm only an 8th grader now (I'm one of the "youngun" IC writers!), so it should be awhile before you'll be reading about college. So this answers another question: yes, I DO intend to keep up with this IC for at least a few more years.
Dan and Dena are 45, not all that young. Did either of them have any kids before the ones we know about? Hey, this would make a good story plot! I'll keep this in mind....It is possible that either of them could have had kids, since Dan was married to someone else from age 20-23, and Dena was married from age 21-22, (and they were both 24 when they got married to each other) but as far as we know, they have no other kids.
Do the girls have boyfriends? It's possible that they do, but they are never mentioned because the Clorensons are not boy-obsessed girls who have no lives. They do like boys, but their lives aren't totally based around them. Plus, I don't want to bore you with the details of that. I'm sure nobody really cares. So when they are mentioned, if at all, I keep the details to a minimum.
When was this IC started? It was started December 13, 1999. There's not many stories up yet (because I am a VERY VERY busy person) but since we opened we've gotten over 2000 hits! That's pretty good for beginners, eh?
